The Dominican Sisters invited young adults to St Michael’s Centre in Tomintoul for a weekend. One of many attractions was a walking pilgrimage over the hills to the Hidden Seminary in Scalan. A group of about 15 people left the Centre at about 9:30, led by me and my dog. The most eventful part of the walk led over swampy plateu. Most of the walkers arrived at Scalan with wetter feet than they’d expected, but nobody complained (openly). After short preparation there was Mass held in a tiny chapel, followed by picnic outside in full sunshine. Then we returned to Tomintoul using the same route.
