After completing the Munros in the Cairngorms the time has come to turn into other hills. When I was driving down to Braemar my attention was drawn by a southern range well seen from the last part of the B976 between Gairnshiel Lodge and the A93. I’d also noticed that range from the top of Mount Keen. Attracted by its rocky appearance and quite monumental shape I decided to go there for my next walk. I did it on 11 May, bagging next 5 Munros!<\/p>\n
The hike was surprisingly easier than I’d expected. Practically there are paths all the way, so except one rough traverse it was a pleasant nine-hours walk, apart the weather. It was mixed, changing quite quickly and really unpleasant in pouring rain mixed with small-hailstone-like and strong winds.<\/p>\n\n
